Veronica pectinata

Print Plant

A low-growing species of Speedwell, this forms a dense carpet of evergreen, grey-green foliage, studded by tiny saucer-shaped blooms in spring that are true blue with a white eye. Excellent for xeriscaping. Occasionally blooms may be lavender or pink. Ideal for edging, massing as a groundcover in a small area, growing in rock gardens or over walls. Long-blooming. Thrives in well-drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. Excellent companion to spring flowering bulbs. Plants are easily divided in spring or early autumn if desired. Can be clipped or mowed to maintain a low habit after blooming.
