Golden Globes Loosestrife
Lysimachia procumbens ‘Golden Globes’
|
This has become popular in recent years for hanging baskets, containers and window boxes but is also an excellent ground cover. It is vigorous yet not overly aggressive and forms a low, trailing mound of green leaves streaked with chartreuse. Clusters of lighty-scented, yellow, star-shaped flowers featuring a red throat appear spring through summer. Prefers moist soil. The fruit is not ornamentally significant. This plant will require occasional maintenance and upkeep but should not require much pruning, except to remove old foliage before new leaves emerge.. |
